Proposed new work requirements for SNAP recipients could worsen hunger in Oklahoma. The House version of the bill, which must be reauthorized every five years, places strict new work requirements on able bodied SNAP recipients. Food organizations say if the final language of the bill includes the changes in the House version, up to 97 thousand Oklahomans could lose their SNAP benefits.
