Teacher Pay Deal Senate

  A tax increase to fund pay raises for educators won't avert a planned teacher walkout. The increase will fund pay hikes averaging about $6,000 for teachers, but educators say it doesn't include funding for additional raises, and doesn't put enough money back into the classroom.
