Teacher Pay

  Education advocates wonder whether lawmakers will give teachers a long-awaited pay hike. Lawmakers return to the capitol for a special session Monday, and teacher pay is one topic that Governor Mary Fallin has asked the legislature to address. Democrats say teacher pay hikes can't be funded without an increase in the gross production tax or rolling back income tax cuts, which Republicans oppose.
