Community Mental Health
A community response team combining paramedics, police officers and licensed therapists has been launched in Tulsa. It’s hoped the collaborative effort will reduce mental health emergency room visits. Another aim of the team is to get police officers back into service instead of handling situations involving a mental health crisis. This story aired on the ONR on OETA-The Oklahoma Network.
