Budget Negotiations
Failure to pass a revenue-raising measure is likely to mean more cuts to state services. The house rejected a bill to raise revenue by 581 million dollars, which would have gone to fill the state's fiscal year 2018 budget hole and give teachers a $5,000 pay raise.
