Education Budget
Budget shortfalls threaten to make Oklahoma's teacher shortage worse. The Oklahoma State Department of Education has submitted a budget request to lawmakers seeking a nearly half billion dollar increase in funding over the current fiscal year. Nearly 288 million of that increase would be used to give teachers an immediate $5,000 pay raise. This story aired on the ONR on OETA-The Oklahoma Network.
