Northeastern Oklahoma is now dealing with an exploding population of feral hogs which are one of the most destructive mammals in the United States. Oklahoma's budget crisis takes a toll on plans to improve state roads and bridges. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation this week rolled out a revised 8 year plan, which includes 40 fewer projects, and delays to about 42 percent of projects previously approved. the scaled down plan comes as the state continues to wrestle with budget shortfalls. Special Session Update

With the clock ticking on the special session, here's growing concern over how proposed Medicaid cuts could affect rural hospitals. With lawmakers so far unable to come to an agreement on how to fill the state's budget hole, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority has announced proposed cuts to Medicaid reimbursement rates, which many rural hospitals and nursing homes say they could not survive.
